17 National team athletes train at Centre 21.02

Centre 21.02 proves a daily home and training opportunities for 29 elite athletes, with the capacity to accommodate over 40 high-performance athletes.

Offering an innovative development program for elite athletes, with a primary focus on supporting patented and targeted athletes, Centre 21.02 helps players training to excel at regional, national and international levels, such as the ESSO Cup, World Junior Championships, Olympic Winter Games, international competitions, and ultimately professional leagues.

Seventeen (17) Centre 21.02 athletes were recently invited to the 2020-21 Women’s National Team Training Camp in Calgary including Marie-Philip Poulin, Mélodie Daoust, Ann-Renée Desbiens, Ann-Sophie Bettez, Lauriane Rougeau and Jillian Saulnier.

The elite athlete joining the High Performance Hockey Centre 21.02 has access to training support similar to the services offered during a National Team Centralization.

The first Centre of this scale in the country, Centre 21.02’s innovative concept integrates on- and off-ice training opportunities as well as state-of-the-art coaching on all aspects related to performance and excellence in women’s hockey.

Centre 21.02 is also the very first, and long-anticipated permanent home for Québec and Canadian elite players.
